KS Cleaning Services, LLC
KS Cleaning Services, LLC provides trusted and responsible cleaning personnel for commercial and residential clients in the Alpena and Presque Isle regions. We also offer cabin openings and closings in the spring and fall seasons. Summer is our busiest time of year! Besides our regulars and the influx in our part-time seasonal clients, we also provide services for air bnb’s. Clients (within reason) can customize the task list. On average, our jobs consist of dusting, bathrooms, kitchens, vacuuming, and mopping. For seasonal customers and vacation rentals, we offer an additional laundry and bed making service. Clients can book weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or occasional cleanings.
We require (FREE) meet and greet consultations before we take on new customers. KS Cleaning Services, LLC is insured, bonded, and a member of the Alpena Chamber of Commerce.

About Kyla
Kyla Schatz is the owner and manager of KS Cleaning Services, LLC, an Alpena local and college graduate from Central Michigan University. She launched the business in June of 2022. Kyla had always cleaned houses as a side gig, while working other jobs, such as the Alpena Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center. During covid, Kyla was encouraged by many long-term clients to expand and start a full-fledged business.
For Kyla, cleaning has never been just about checklists or surfaces — it’s about reliability, organization, and creating environments where people feel supported. That mindset has followed her through every chapter of her career, from community-focused roles in tourism and environmental education, to years of cleaning homes alongside other work. KS Cleaning Services was a natural next step — a business built on consistency, trust, and relationships.
Clients often start as customers and quickly become friends. Kyla is known for her warmth, professionalism, and ability to put people at ease. She’s detail-oriented, compassionate, and deeply invested in the people and places she serves.
Outside of work, Kyla is rooted in her community and values giving back. She volunteers with environmental organizations such as NOAA Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Great Lakes Great Responsibility. She enjoys reading, yoga, acting, and traveling.
“My favorite part of the job is getting to know the people. After a while, you don’t just clean a space — you become part of their lives.”
